The recording won't start

Allow the microphone for this site in your browser's settings, then try again.

“Recording too short” or “No speech detected”

Encounter works best with a real conversation or a thorough dictation. Check the microphone isn't muted or covered and the phone is close enough to hear, then choose to keep recording.

The recording stopped on its own

Recordings stop automatically after 10 minutes, so a recorder left running doesn’t capture hours of conversation. A countdown shows about a minute before it does.

I can’t find an older note

Encounters are kept for 24 hours. Copy each note into your EHR.
